What it does
- Checks when you’re busy on your primary Google Calendar, so leads are never offered a time that clashes with something else.
- Adds each call booked with you to your calendar, with the lead as a guest and the meeting link in the event.
- Moves the event when the call is rescheduled and deletes it when the call is cancelled.
Each team member connects their own Google account. Google Workspace and personal Gmail accounts both work.
Connect your calendar
Your admin sends you a private setup link (it looks like slotifyscheduler.com/m/…).
Open your setup link
Google Calendar is step 1.
Click “Connect Google Calendar”
You’re taken to Google. Choose the Google account whose calendar you use for calls.
Review and click “Allow”
Google shows what Slotify is asking for: your email address, your calendar’s free/busy information, and permission to manage the events Slotify creates for your calls.
You’re back in Slotify
The step shows Connected as your Google email. Your busy times now block those slots.
Use it
Your busy times block slots
When a lead opens a booking page, Slotify asks Google only whether you’re free or busy for the days shown. It never reads what your other events are.
Booked calls appear on your calendar
Each booking creates an event titled with the lead’s name and call type, with the join link. Google doesn’t email the lead about it; Slotify sends the lead’s confirmation itself.
Changes stay in sync
Reschedules move the event; cancellations delete it.
Disconnect
In Slotify
- On your setup link: on the Google Calendar step, click Disconnect, then confirm.
- Signed in to Slotify: go to Profile → Connections, click Disconnect next to Google Calendar, then confirm.
Slotify revokes its access with Google and deletes your stored Google token straight away.
In your Google Account
Open your Google Account’s connections
Choose Slotify
Select Slotify from the list.
Remove access
Click Delete all connections you have with Slotify (or Remove access) and confirm.
Slotify can no longer use its token from that moment. Your setup page then shows Google as needing attention; click Disconnect there (or ask us) to delete the stored token too.
After you disconnect
Data and permissions
| Permission | Why Slotify needs it |
|---|---|
| Your email address | To show which Google account is connected. |
| See free/busy for your calendars | To offer leads only the times you’re free. Only busy start and end times are read, never event details. |
| View and edit events on your calendars | To add, move and delete the events for calls booked with you. Slotify only changes events it created. |
- Stored: your Google email, an encrypted refresh token (AES-256-GCM), and the ID of each event Slotify created.
- Not stored: your free/busy times (held in memory for up to a minute) or any of your other events.
- When you disconnect: the token is revoked and deleted, and your Google email is removed. Event IDs on past bookings stay with the business’s booking history unless your admin asks us to delete them.
Slotify’s use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. See the Privacy Policy.
Troubleshooting
- “Google signed Slotify out”: access expired or was removed. Open your setup link and click Reconnect Google Calendar.
- Slots show when I’m busy: Slotify reads your primary calendar. Events marked “Free” in Google don’t block time.
- Wrong Google account: click Use another account on the Google step.
